The present issue of the Review of Network Economics is a special issue on Vertical Integration in Network Industries. We were fortunate to have Flavio Menezes, Professor of Economics and Director of the Australian Centre of Regulatory Economics, at the Australian National University to act as editor for the issue. The issue contains six separate papers, including an excellent overview of the papers by Professor Menezes. We wish to express our thanks to Professor Menezes, for the tremendous job he has done in putting together this issue.
